Diskit Monastery was established by Changzed Tserab Zaongpo, the disciple of Tsong Khapa who was the founder of Gelukpa. Diskit has been named as" The orchard of Ladakh". Diskit Monastery is famous for Dosmoche festival. The festival is organized in month of February.
